1 Oh, give thanks to the LORD!
      Call upon His name;
      Make known His deeds among the peoples!

2 Sing to Him, sing psalms to Him;
      Talk of all His wondrous works!

3 Glory in His holy name;
      Let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the LORD!

4 Seek the LORD and His strength;
      Seek His face evermore!

5 Remember His marvelous works which He has done,
      His wonders, and the judgments of His mouth,

6 O seed of Abraham His servant,
      You children of Jacob, His chosen ones!

7 He is the LORD our God;
      His judgments are in all the earth.

8 He remembers His covenant forever,
      The word which He commanded, for a thousand generations,

He remembers His covenant forever, the word which He commanded, for a thousand generations.
He remembers His covenant forever, the word which He commanded, for a thousand generations.

This psalm repeatedly reminds us that we have to remember and proclaim the wonderful acts of God and the judgments of His mouth, because God also remembers His covenant and the word He commanded forever. The next 37 verses of this psalm till the end are all about remembering the works of God on the Israelites, from Abraham till the Israelites entered the promised land, and finally concludes in praising the LORD. We should also recount one by one the grace that God had bestowed on us, lest we are being blinded by matters in front of our eyes, and forget about the deeds of God and His unchanging promises. Let us seek the LORD together with His strength and His face, give thanks to Him and call upon His name, remember and proclaim His deeds, and in whatever circumstances, rejoice in the Lord. Praise God, for His name is holy and glorious; praise God, for His deeds are wondrous; praise God, for His judgments are just and with authority; praise God, for He is faithful and unchanging, His word also stands fast forever!
