1 那 時 ， 底 波 拉 和 亞 比 挪 菴 的 兒 子 巴 拉 作 歌 ， 說 ： 2 因 為 以 色 列 中 有 軍 長 率 領 ， 百 姓 也 甘 心 犧 牲 自 己 ， 你 們 應 當 頌 讚 耶 和 華 ！ 3 君 王 啊 ， 要 聽 ！ 王 子 啊 ， 要 側 耳 而 聽 ！ 我 要 向 耶 和 華 歌 唱 ； 我 要 歌 頌 耶 和 華 ─ 以 色 列 的 　 神 。 4 耶 和 華 啊 ， 祢 從 西 珥 出 來 ， 由 以 東 地 行 走 。 那 時 地 震 天 漏 ， 雲 也 落 雨 。 5 山 見 耶 和 華 的 面 就 震 動 ， 西 奈 山 見 耶 和 華 ─ 以 色 列 　 神 的 面 ， 也 是 如 此 。 6 在 亞 拿 之 子 珊 迦 的 時 候 ， 又 在 雅 億 的 日 子 ， 大 道 無 人 行 走 ， 都 是 繞 道 而 行 。 7 以 色 列 中 的 官 長 停 職 ， 直 到 我 底 波 拉 興 起 ， 等 我 興 起 作 以 色 列 的 母 。 8 以 色 列 人 選 擇 新 　 神 ， 爭 戰 的 事 就 臨 到 城 門 。 那 時 ， 以 色 列 四 萬 人 中 豈 能 見 盾 牌 槍 矛 呢 ？ 9 我 心 傾 向 以 色 列 的 首 領 ， 他 們 在 民 中 甘 心 犧 牲 自 己 。 你 們 應 當 頌 讚 耶 和 華 ！ 10 騎 白 驢 的 、 坐 繡 花 毯 子 的 、 行 路 的 ， 你 們 都 當 傳 揚 ！ 11 在 遠 離 弓 箭 響 聲 打 水 之 處 ， 人 必 述 說 耶 和 華 公 義 的 作 為 ， 就 是 祂 治 理 以 色 列 公 義 的 作 為 。 那 時 耶 和 華 的 民 下 到 城 門 。

1 Then Deborah and Barak the son of Abinoam sang on that day, saying: 2 “When leaders lead in Israel,       When the people willingly offer themselves,       Bless the LORD! 3 “Hear, O kings! Give ear, O princes!       I, even I, will sing to the LORD;       I will sing praise to the LORD God of Israel. 4 “LORD, when You went out from Seir,       When You marched from the field of Edom,       The earth trembled and the heavens poured,       The clouds also poured water; 5 The mountains gushed before the LORD,       This Sinai, before the LORD God of Israel. 6 “In the days of Shamgar, son of Anath,       In the days of Jael,       The highways were deserted,       And the travelers walked along the byways. 7 Village life ceased, it ceased in Israel,       Until I, Deborah, arose,       Arose a mother in Israel. 8 They chose new gods;       Then there was war in the gates;       Not a shield or spear was seen among forty thousand in Israel. 9 My heart is with the rulers of Israel       Who offered themselves willingly with the people.       Bless the LORD! 10 “Speak, you who ride on white donkeys,       Who sit in judges’ attire,       And who walk along the road. 11 Far from the noise of the archers, among the watering places,       There they shall recount the righteous acts of the LORD,       The righteous acts for His villagers in Israel;       Then the people of the LORD shall go down to the gates.

讚美神， 當我們轉向祂的時候，我們就在艱難中看見希望，好比是撥雲見日。 Praise God! When we return to Him, we see hope in dire circumstances, just like the Sun has shone through the dark clouds.

當以色列人遠離神，不走大道的時候，爭戰的事就臨到城門；可是當以色列人回轉歸向神的時候，神就使以色列人大大得勝。以色列人滅絕迦南王耶賓，掙脫他的欺壓後，當天就作歌讚美神，述說祂公義的作為。同樣，當我們遠離神的時候，平安也離我們遠去；可是當我們回轉歸向神的時候，神就藉著當時的環境來建造我們的品格，藉著苦難來祝福我們。因此，每當我們靠著神行過死陰的幽谷、每次我們從經歷中更多地得著基督，就應當如此頌讚神──讚美祂在創造物前的威嚴，讚美祂拯救到底的信實，讚美祂興起屬靈的領袖帶領我們，讚美祂一切公義的作為！

When the Isaraelites distanced themselves from God and deserted His Way, war came to the city gates; but when the Israelites returned to God, God made them victorious. After the Israelites destroyed Jabin king of Canaan freeing themselves from his oppression, they sang on that day to praise God and recount His righteous acts. In the same way, when we are away from God, peace is also far away from us; but when we return to God, He builds our characters with the circumstances then, and blesses us through the sufferings. So, every time we walked through the valley of the shadow of death with Him, every time we laid hold of more of Christ in our experience, we should praise God in the same way -- praise His majesty in front of all creations, praise His faithfulness to save us till the end, praise His raising up of spiritual leaders to guide us, and praise all of His righteous acts!
