6 當 趁 耶 和 華 可 尋 找 的 時 候 尋 找 祂 ， 相 近 的 時 候 求 告 祂 。 7 惡 人 當 離 棄 自 己 的 道 路 ； 不 義 的 人 當 除 掉 自 己 的 意 念 。 歸 向 耶 和 華 ， 耶 和 華 就 必 憐 恤 他 ； 當 歸 向 我 們 的 　 神 ， 因 為 　 神 必 廣 行 赦 免 。 8 耶 和 華 說 ： 我 的 意 念 非 同 你 們 的 意 念 ； 我 的 道 路 非 同 你 們 的 道 路 。 9 天 怎 樣 高 過 地 ， 照 樣 ， 我 的 道 路 高 過 你 們 的 道 路 ； 我 的 意 念 高 過 你 們 的 意 念 。 10 雨 雪 從 天 而 降 ， 並 不 返 回 ， 卻 滋 潤 地 土 ， 使 地 上 發 芽 結 實 ， 使 撒 種 的 有 種 ， 使 要 吃 的 有 糧 。 11 我 口 所 出 的 話 也 必 如 此 ， 決 不 徒 然 返 回 ， 卻 要 成 就 我 所 喜 悅 的 ， 在 我 發 他 去 成 就 （ 發 他 去 成 就 ： 或 譯 所 命 定 ） 的 事 上 必 然 亨 通 。 12 你 們 必 歡 歡 喜 喜 而 出 來 ， 平 平 安 安 蒙 引 導 。 大 山 小 山 必 在 你 們 面 前 發 聲 歌 唱 ； 田 野 的 樹 木 也 都 拍 掌 。 13 松 樹 長 出 ， 代 替 荊 棘 ； 番 石 榴 長 出 ， 代 替 蒺 藜 。 這 要 為 耶 和 華 留 名 ， 作 為 永 遠 的 證 據 ， 不 能 剪 除 。

6 Seek the LORD while He may be found,       Call upon Him while He is near. 7 Let the wicked forsake his way,       And the unrighteous man his thoughts;       Let him return to the LORD,       And He will have mercy on him;       And to our God,       For He will abundantly pardon. 8 “For My thoughts are not your thoughts,       Nor are your ways My ways,” says the LORD. 9 “For as the heavens are higher than the earth,       So are My ways higher than your ways,       And My thoughts than your thoughts. 10 “For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven,       And do not return there,       But water the earth,       And make it bring forth and bud,       That it may give seed to the sower       And bread to the eater, 11 So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth;       It shall not return to Me void,       But it shall accomplish what I please,       And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. 12 “For you shall go out with joy,       And be led out with peace;       The mountains and the hills       Shall break forth into singing before you,       And all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. 13 Instead of the thorn shall come up the cypress tree,       And instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree;       And it shall be to the LORD for a name,       For an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.”

賽 Isaiah 55:9 天怎樣高過地，照樣，我的道路高過你們的道路。 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways.

有一條路，人以為正，至終成為死亡之路。世人都在追逐名利財富，哪知這些眼目的情慾、肉體的情慾和今生的驕傲都不能帶給我們持久的快樂、真正的滿足。地上再偉大、再有影響力的領袖總有死亡的一天；再健全的政治、經濟體系也總會被利用，變腐敗，乃至崩潰。若是沒有神，這一切所能帶給人的，不過是勞苦愁煩。先知提醒我們，要離棄自己的道路，尋求神的道路；除掉自己的意念，尋求神的意念。地上糧食的豐收乃來自天上雨雪的供應，同樣世上事情的成就乃因著神和祂口中所出的每一句話。有時候我們不明白為甚麼事情如此發生，可是我們要承認祂的意念非同我們的意念，祂的道路也非同我們的道路：當我們尋求神、求告祂的時候，神就會使臨到我們的變成化妝的祝福，正如約瑟對他的哥哥們所說的話：「從前你們的意思是要害我，但神的意思原是好的，要保全許多人的性命，成就今日的光景。」讚美神，因祂憐恤赦免凡悔改歸向祂的人；讚美神，因祂的道路高過我們的道路，祂的意念高過我們的意念；讚美神，因祂口中所出的話語滋潤了我們，使我們活著；讚美神，因祂使讚美喜樂的聲音自我們發出，以喜樂油代替悲哀，以讚美衣代替憂傷之靈，改變我們的性情，以松樹代替荊棘，以番石榴代替蒺藜，使我們成為祂所栽的公義樹，叫祂得榮耀！

There is a way that seems right to man, but its end is the way of death. People are pursuing fame and fortune, not knowing that the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life cannot bring us enduring happiness nor true satisfaction. No matter how great and how influential is a leader in the world, death would overtake him one day; no matter how sound is a political and economic system, it would be exploited, become corrupted to the point of collapse. Without God, all these could bring people nothing but labor and sorrow. The prophet reminds us to forsake our own way and seek God's way, to forsake our own thoughts and seek His thoughts. Bumper harvest comes from the supply of rain and snow from heaven, in the same way, the accomplishment of things on earth is due to God and every word that goes forth from His mouth. Sometimes we do not know why things happen, but we have to admit that His thoughts are not our thoughts, nor are our ways His ways: when we seek God and call upon Him, He would turn our sufferings into concealed blessings, just as what Joseph told his brothers, "But as for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive." Praise God, for He has mercy on and forgives whoever repents and returns to Him; praise God, for His ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts than our thoughts; praise God, for the word that goes forth from His mouth has nourished us, and on which we live; praise God, for He has caused sounds of praise and joy to emancipate from us, replaced mourning with oil of gladness, spirit of despair with a garment of praise, changed our temperament, replaced thorn with cypress tree, brier with myrtle tree, so that we become trees of righteousness planted by Him, that He may be glorified!
